At the Longford Genealogy Centre each genealogy research enquiry
is undertaken when the fee of 75 Euro (or equivalent Currency
converter) is paid. The research fee covers a complete search of all
available records as well as all administrative costs. Fees are kept to a
minimum and are based on the time and expense involved in the search and not on
the actual results of a search.
If you are unsure which part of County Longford your relatives
originated from our Researcher would being by searching the Church Records for
baptisms, marriages and burials for the entire County as well as the Tithe
Applotment books of 1828-1833 (if your ancestor was living in the County in the
1820s/1830s), the 1854 Griffiths Valuation (if your ancestor was living
in the County in the 1850's) and the 1901 and 1911 Census returns (if your
ancestor was living in the County in the early 1900s)
